Emily from the Dainty Daydream stumbled upon my Instagram and knew immediately that Mary and Fred would love my design style. We talked briefly about color palettes, textures and the main goals of their wedding but from the beginning, we knew it was a great fit.
This was my first COMPLETELY locally grown wedding, and while it was a challenge, the benefits, delights and variety of the flowers I was able to source locally set this as the MOST rewarding wedding to date. Our goal was to include as much texture as possible in lilac, blue, purples, whites and burgundy with a background of chartreuse green and pop or two of coral. Our secondary goal was to create each centerpiece with a unique recipe focus a goal of 2 types of flowers with greenery and always at least 1 purple allium—one had dame’s rocket. with burgundy tulips, one had purple anemones with peachy ranunculus, one had purple anemones with blue hyacinth, one had purple anemones and columbine, one had white anemones and grasses, one had bearded irises and allium with tiny peach geum, …the list goes on and you get the idea, but what a delight to have each one be different but altogether feel SO intentional and warm. One of my favorite blooms that I was able to use this time was blue, purple and yellow and white pansies—you’ll want to keep an eye out for these incredible tiny flowers that just punctuate each arrangement! SO FUN! To me this color palette feels neutral while still having plenty of variation and mood. Like the weather of a good, Montana May day!
