Effy and Jake wanted a true spring wedding. Elas, who owns the Woodlands (near Bozeman) also occasionally coordinates and plans weddings. Effy and Jake trusted Elsa to bring them the best vendors and when we met, we could tell it was meant to be. I actually had to bring my youngest kiddo to the meeting because she was so young at the time, I knew I couldn’t leave her for long. From the beginning, Effy and Jake knew what they wanted—warm tones with pops of blue and plenty of ruffles—We planned for the most gorgeous design, and while originally they I had not made the shift to local flowers, when I talked it through with them, they were totally down to skip the roses we had originally planned to order. She wanted to tackle the trend of 2025—for each bridesmaid to have one type of bloom from the bridal bouquet. When it came to the week of, I picked up the flowers from farmers all within an hour’s drive from Effy and Jake’s venue. The Spring weather gave incredible floral gifts of peonies, ranunculus, nigella, delphinium and tulips with cress greenery; all at their prime. With elevated, bright fluffy blooms we created a full chuppah with some negative space at the bottom. The warm undertones honestly felt just right because this couple was probably one of the kindest I’ve ever worked with. We welcomed guests with a bar arrangement, welcome sign installation and a fireplace installation that didn’t get photographed. Looking through the gallery, you’ll see that Effy and Jake’s day was bright, beautiful and full of smiles and laughs—a delight to flower in EVERY way. Their people were kind, complimentary and no one felt rushed, frazzled or dramatic.
