Maddy and Todd’s Art nouveau Flathead lake wedding

Maddy is my dear friend and the best ever freelancer. She is both the chillest bride and never does things half way. This wedding was a 3 day delight and we just LOVED attending as well as creating for it. Maddy was going for Art Nouveau, elevated, textural, elegant, fairy garden, forest whimsy. We hung greenery over the dance floor to bring make our big sky a bit more intimate. To create her eclectic vibes, we created ikebana, balancy, wild and textural pieces. For each table, I created a different centerpiece for each table, focusing on 3 individual flower types for each one. On the day of, we raced ceremony time by creating a custom barrel arrangement with some twisted grass and every texture we could think of—this was installed on the SUPER-COOL beer-barrel-cocktail dispensers made by Todd. Their table “numbers” were actually mushrooms, which nodded to Todd’s current hobby of growing mushrooms.
To fit her vibes, we went with COLOR: True blue-purple, warm burgundy, maroon, lime and chartreuse green, bits of rusty amber, a touch of blush with as much texture as we could cram in. We used real, rooted plants and trees in baskets for the ceremony so Maddy and Todd could plant them in their yard afterwards. Their yard looks awesome, by the way! I used one of the trees to disguise the camps’s cross and we also used smilax to soften it a bit. The willow tree to the left in many of the pictures is one we brought in for the ceremony. The moss was just an incredible brainwave for hiding our mechanics. If you look carefully in a few of the photos of the meadow arrangements by the lake, you’ll spot a sweet little hummingbird checking out the flowers. The dress code was SO good. And Todd’s suit. Just WOWWW.
