Noelle and Patrick’s warm neutral Sage lodge wedding
July

Noelle and Patrick’s beautiful, moody July day had every element of Montana weather to enjoy which paired perfectly with the most gorgeous blooms of the season. They chose Sage Lodge as their backdrop (near Livingston, Emigrant, Chico in Paradise Valley). We used dahlias peonies, scabiosa, foxglove, snapdragon, martagon lily, lisianthus, campanula, bells of ireland, and many more. During installation, my freelancer, Maddy, and I read a little poetry (Little Weirds!) while we waited out a thunderstorm—From the back of the delivery truck, we enjoyed rain, wind, dead car batteries, and lightning on the peaks. The sun came out during cocktail hour so the couple could introduce everyone to the alpacas. Noelle and Pat chose the Yellowstone room for their reception space with Sage’s narrow rectangular tables. We didn’t want to take up too much room, so we used a collection of bud vases for their table settings using Sage Lodge’s in-house tables, and we color blocked each bud vase so that the type of flower was individual and allowed to speak for itself. The domestically grown smilax above the reception created the whimsical, intimate feeling the Yellowstone Room needs and an excellent punctuation to the dancing. Altogether, stunning and delightful. This wedding was a delight in every way, and I SWEAR I’ve never seen so many photos of a couple laughing. Killian from Events by Killian nailed the tabletop and planning of the details. Heather at Sweetgrass Studios sent me the gallery and I was floored because so often the photos of the ceremony arrangements are in bright sunlight. Because it was overcast, the photos are amazing and she did a beautiful job capitalizing on couple portraits with their ceremony meadow.
